Privacy Policy
Effective February 22, 2026
findr is an AI-powered clothing search tool that helps you find products that match your personal style. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What We Collect
When you use findr, we may collect the following:
- Search queries — the natural language descriptions you type to find products.
- Style profile data — if you complete the optional style quiz, we store your style preferences, brand vibes, size, and budget preference.
- Feedback — when you select a favorite result or indicate “none of these work,” we store that signal to improve future results.
- Wishlist data — products you save to your wishlist.
- Anonymous identifier — a randomly generated ID (UUID) stored in your browser’s local storage. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it in a future account sign-up flow.
How We Use Your Data
- Personalization — your style profile and feedback history are used to improve the relevance of search results shown to you.
- Product improvement — aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us understand how the product is used and where to improve it.
- No advertising — we do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
findr uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes your search queries to parse intent and rank product results. Queries are sent to Anthropic’s API. See Anthropic’s privacy policy.
- SerpApi — retrieves product listings from Google Shopping based on your parsed query. See SerpApi’s terms.
- Supabase — stores style profiles, feedback, and wishlist data. See Supabase’s privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts the findr application. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
In the future, findr may offer optional integration with Pinterest, allowing you to connect your Pinterest account to enrich your style profile. If offered, this will require your explicit consent via Pinterest’s OAuth authorization flow. findr will only access board and pin data you authorize, and will not store raw Pinterest data — only derived style signals extracted from your boards.
Data Storage & Security
Your style profile and wishlist are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) for instant access, and synced to a secure Supabase database for persistence. All data is associated with your anonymous identifier — not your personal identity.
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and Row Level Security on our database. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- Style profile — completing the style quiz is entirely optional. You can clear your profile at any time via the “My Style” button.
- Wishlist — you can remove items from your wishlist at any time.
- Local data — clearing your browser’s local storage will remove your anonymous ID, style profile, and wishlist from your device.
- Data deletion — to request deletion of your data from our database, contact us at the email below.
Children's Privacy
findr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll note the new effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of findr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
